I just wanted to share with you what is going on with James! Bob wasn't able to go to the Daddy Daughter Dance with Sophie, our 11-year old daughter due to an emergency with our youngest. I asked James to step up and take Sophie to the dance. He started to stuttering and then, calmed himself down, speaking smoothly and said he would. He did an amazing job and I know it’s because of the time he spent with you he was able to get through these stressful moments. They both had a wonderful time and he grew as a person because of this situation. Thank you again, your time and efforts are still appreciated!

Hi Susan I hope all is well with you and you family. I just wanted to write you quickly to thank you for all that you have done to help Anthony. This week is student mental health week and before every game a student reads a fairly long paragraph about mental health. Anthony did this for our varsity game last night over the loud speaker In the stadium in front of a very large group of people!!! It was a situation where any student or adult would be nervous. He did it so well that coaches, parents, and teachers that know he has a stutter were making comments about how they would have never imagined him ever stuttering the way he used to. We are so grateful we found you and all of the hard work you and Anthony have put into this. Thank you,
Steve

I have been working with Miss Susan for 3 years now and I can say she is amazing at what she does and an even better person. She doesn’t only help with speech but with helping others get organized and become who they want to be. I went from being terrified to speak to being confident enough to speak whenever and wherever I want to. she has helped me a lot and I will be forever grateful.

So many other speech therapists had tried to help my son. But what seemed so hard for them was obvious for Susan. She was able to connect with my son using well developed evidence-based methods. She has given him a strategy for life but more importantly strengthened his resolve to address a challenge that once seemed intractable but no longer is. She has given him an unpayable gift. "Having worked with several other speech therapists, we immediately notice that Susan's relationship with our boys and our family would be different. She embraced a total care approach, incorporating my wife and I, and our other children, into the therapy sessions. She accomplished what others could not; an almost immediate improvement in their speech. My wife and I cannot levy any higher recommendation for Ms. Cochrane; she is an example to be followed in her field, and her methods have been proven again and again, child after child."

"It's been quite some time since I saw you last. I am now an attorney for a Congressman, working on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. I read the article that I've pasted below, and hope to see the King's Speech very soon, and I thought of you and wanted to reach out and thank you again for your help!

Holden started stuttering severely, to the point that we could barely understand him. He started to shut down all verbal communications and react physically and emotionally. Fortunately we were introduced to Miss Susie (Susan Cochrane), a Board Certified Specialist in Fluency and Fluency Disorders. Today, Holden is stutter free! She has given Holden and our entire family the foundation we needed to speak smoothly, but most importantly she has given us the encouragement we needed to succeed and overcome this life changing obstacle. Every time Holden speaks, we will forever be reminded of this amazing lady who touched our lives forever, Miss Susie!!!!"

Olivia's stuttering is so improved from before the program I find it miraculous. She is so completely different; happy and very confident and taking on new things every day. You would be very proud of her. "

"We cannot say enough about how Ms. Cochrane has helped Patrick. He has made a complete turnaround. Before he was shy and over-sensitive, unable to communicate with his peers. He volunteers in class and other social events and is able to say his name. As a mom, this has brought tears to my eyes. Patrick is actually not just a smooth talker, but a child who likes to talk a lot. Thanks Susan Cochrane for helping Patrick and making him ready for life.

I've dealt with a severe stutter since I was a child. As an adult I decided it was time to seek help to improve my fluency. Susan is a very knowledgeable and caring therapist who goes above and beyond to help her clients make progress. She helped me understand stuttering, and accept it, while improving my fluency. I'm grateful for her help, and would recommend her to anyone dealing with stuttering and fluency issues.

In all honesty, the relationship you have built with Braden is irreplaceable, and the amount of respect he has for what you have to say, and not just him but us as well, which I was realizing as I am thinking that we all just trust what you say and follow along (even when I roll my eyes thinking there’s no way he will journal that stuff each day). I cannot put into words, the feeling of knowing your child has a safe place to share his feelings and struggles and will receive sound encouragement and advice. I know this is not a cure or a fix, but as you know, he gets so frustrated sometimes and gets into a rut and needs to be brought out of it, and reminded of truth, as we all do. Thank you for being such a crucial part of our support system."
